Cows being cared for at a Punya gaushala

Rooted in compassion. Built on trust.

Punya is a registered NGO dedicated to the welfare of cows across India — feeding, healing, sheltering, and protecting thousands of lives through a transparent network of sevaks.

Our Story

Born from a simple act of seva

Punya began when a small group of families saw abandoned and injured cows on the streets of Rajasthan and decided to do something lasting. What started as neighbourhood feeding rounds became a structured programme — and then a registered organisation trusted by thousands of sevaks across India.

Today we work with 1 partner gaushala, coordinate daily feeding for over 1 cows, and run medical programmes that have treated thousands of injured animals. Every action we take is grounded in the belief that caring for cows is one of the highest forms of dharma.
